Dear Colleagues,
It is our pleasure cordially to invite you to the 3rd Congress in the Danube-Carpathian Region “Controversies in Neurosurgery” Joint meeting with Southeast European Neurosurgical Society (SEENS), which will take place in Golden Sands Resort, Varna, Bulgaria on 29th-31st of May, 2014.
The Congress is organized by the Clinic of Neurosurgery at the University Hospital “St. Marina” and Medical University of Varna, in cooperation with the Bulgarian Society of Neurosurgery and the Southeast European Neurosurgical Society.
The Congress will bring together specialists from the Danube-Carpathian Region, Southeast Europe and rest of the world with interest and expertise in neurosurgery, neurology, head and neck surgery, ENT surgery, interventional neuroradiology, anesthesiology and radiation oncology. The stimulating scientific program will highlight the latest scientific achievements, enhance existing knowledge and lead to improved diagnosis, prevention and treatment of various CNS pathologies. It will gather recognized experts in their field in order to allow them to share their experience and to discuss the potential benefits that can be currently brought to our patients.
The program will include state-of-the-art plenary lectures, selected presentations from submitted abstracts, meet-the-expert sessions with the world’s leading neurosurgeons, neuro-oncologists and scientists, as well as ample
opportunity for interactive discussions.
Varna is the marine or summer capital of Bulgaria located along the beautiful Black Sea coastline. It is a major tourist destination, a traffic hub for all the resorts in the northern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, encompassing Golden Sands Resort, business and university centre, seaport, and headquarters of the Bulgarian Navy and merchant marine. Varna is renowned for the oldest golden treasure in the world which was discovered in Varna Necropolis, consisting of artifacts dating to 4,750 BCE. This busy metropolis invigorates visitors with a unique energetic
atmosphere, outstanding museums, cultural events, international cuisine, and non-stop active nightlife.
Social events will be planned to offer participants a taste of the vibrant local culture.
The Congress will be held at the luxury Hotel Melia Grand Hermitage located on the magnificent beach of the world renown Golden Sands Resort and is 17 km away from Varna’s city centre.
